great review- thanks for the honest insight. I too have a XD-50 Pro. Simple and easy. I do like the sound of it, but I have no other system to compare it against. I thought it revealed a lot of the nuances of musical passages. So definite thumbs up.

In your review doesn’t tell how you physically connect XD-50 Pro to a receiver or powered speakers via Aux, Coaxial or Optical. I happen to own one, but soon after received it and having try to connect via Coaxial or Optical, it just doesn’t work at all. I feel this product let me down because out off the box the Coaxial and Optical is useless, disappointed because there no support available out there to resolve this issue, and cheated because I intend to use Coaxial or Optical output for my purchasing decision in the first place.
By any chance, you could provide a solution for this problem, I would be indeed grateful.

I saw many people is aksing the questions on xDuoo official website, and xDuoo official is replying every question actively there, maybe you can try to ask there.

Here it is the xDuoo official forum link,

What kind of difference would it make in the sound to swap in the burson chip? Is that something that a professional could do?

My XQ-50 Pro is switching out of DAC mode automatically and switching to bluetooth, and this sometimes happens for days, then won’t happen for a week, then begins to happen again for another full week. I haven’t paired any of my devices with it – in fact, anything I own with bluetooth in my room has its bluetooth switched off. I live in an apartment and I’m wondering if one of my neighbors within range has inadvertently left their bluetooth capability on their phone on and their phone auto-connects to my XQ-50 Pro whenever they are in range. During these frustrating switches from DAC (which I want and need for my pc) to BT (which I don’t need at all at these times) the screen says “48khz/24bit, Loading>>> and aptx LL” and the bluetooth symbol in the upper left corner shows “connected” (it has the two points left and right of the bluetooth symbol illuminated as well so the BT symbol is round rather than looking like a branch).

My god this is frustrating. Listening to music with the DAC, or playing a video game, the sounds from the PC last about a minute before the device auto shifts to Bluetooth mode and pairs with…something. Whenever this happens my only option is to double click the front button, which will take it out of pairing mode when it is already in it, or put it in pairing mode when it is not. This solution lasts, again, 1 minute – then it auto connects to this mysterious device again.

Is there ANY way to manually shut off bluetooth when I’m using it as a DAC? At this point I would return it if I could, because it simply doesn’t work as a USB DAC when it will not stay in that mode for more than a minute.

    Hello,

    Excellent review, congratulations !!!

I would like to know if, in order to hear the TIDAL Hifi that transmits at 24bits 96khz, would there be a difference between XDuo Pro (LDAC) and Topping D10 (which limits 24bit 96khz on the optical output)? Both being used to connect to an audio processor in the car via an optical cable, that is, the devices would only transport the digital signal from the cell phone to the processor via an optical cable, where DAC conversion would take place. I am in doubt because today the result via optical topping cable is spectacular, and a while ago I tested a generic Bluetooth receiver with a csr8675 chip with LDAC codec, and the result was disappointing, in this case I’m not sure if with the same transmission rates , the results can really be so different, just because a connection is wireless. I want to believe that it would be a problem with the generic bluetooth receiver I used.
